This December, Our Adoration Chapel Will Have Been Open for 25 Years!
Did you know that the monstrance in our Chapel was created by a parishioner, Keith Phillips? This 3-foot high mahogany and Spanish cedar monstrance has graced our Adoration Chapel for almost 25 years. Fr. Miles Walsh, our pastor at the time of the opening of the Chapel, encouraged Phillips to apply his talent with wood to create the monstrance. When the monstrance was completed, it was an exact fit. At the time he thought “When I saw that it fit perfectly, that was just a confirmation of what I was doing.” If you have not visited our Chapel, we invite you to come see this work of art that praises Jesus and consider becoming a regular adorer. After all Masses on the weekend of December 15th, we will have parishioners that can answer any questions you might have about Adoration.
